Our goal is to:
- CONNECT our students to Jesus Christ,
- help GROW our students in their walk with Jesus Christ, helping them to realize the purpose or reality of life, with a basic biblical and doctrinal knowledge that will provide them the resources necessary to retain their faith,
- SERVE God in our church, our Knoxville community, and the world.
Confirmation
Confirmation is the long held rite of public profession of faith and affirmation of baptism that occurs after a period of careful instruction. We look to the example and precedent set by the early Church in the book of Acts (8:14-17). The goal of confirmation is to help the participants identify with the life and mission of the Christian Church. Following this rite, they are accepted as full members of the Lutheran Church. Typically 7th grade is when you begin your first year of Confirmation, but all youth are welcome to attend if they have not yet been through the instruction. Our sessions occur once a month, running from 12:30 pm to 3:00pm, with lunch provided. If you have a youth who is interested, please contact Pastor Travis.
